LG release of Smart STB+

We are glad to announce that the latest version of our Smart STB+ (plus) app is now available for all LG TVs running webOS 3 or newer.

This version of the app supports different popular middleware (portals or m3u playlists) and has improved m3u list support (channels with logos, EPG and categories) Support on local playlists. 

You can get a Trial on first app startup as usual and use the app the same way as you used the old app.

If you have Smart STB version of the app on your LG TV and download Smart STB+, your portal, mac address will be the same (you do not need to transfer your license or to purchase a new license for the new version of the app).

New app version for iOS – Vertical mode and bug fixes.

We are introducing a brand new design for the app for iPhones and iPads. Now these devices have a vertical design.

The update for the app for iPhones and iPads devices is now available. With the new update of the app, we not only added a new design of the app, but we have fixed some bugs.

We are working on adding this design and for mobile devices with Android.

Unlimited licenses

Dear Customers,

From today we start offering Unlimited Lifetime licenses.

The Unlimited license is the same as Full Lifetime license but it has included unlimited transfers.

Lifetime and Lite Extra licenses

From today (15 of June 2023) we are no longer offer Lite Lifetime licenses. All Lite Lifetime licenses purchased in the past will receive support and app updates.

Starting today we introduce an option (Lite Extra) for all Lite Lifetime licenses which allows you to add up to 8 portals in the app and bundle up to 4 additional devices (Smart TVs, Smartphones, tablets) to your main licensed device.

This option (Lite Extra) can be purchased from each Lite Lifetime subscription and is available only for Lite Lifetime license and is affordable yearly subscription.

Extra transfers and multi screen (bundle)

Extra transfers and multi screen (bundle)

We are introducing some new features for the licenses that we provide.

The first feature is that now all licenses can be transferred to another device, if needed. Until now, only Full licenses had this feature. If you need to transfer the the license to another device, but your license is Lite, don’t worry, now you can buy an Extra Transfer. The extra transfer can be bought from the subscription which you want to transfer. The button from which you can buy this extra transfer will become available only if there are no transfers left (for any kind of license).

The other feature is that now all devices can be bundled. Until now, only mobile devices could be bundled with the main device.

This means that you can use up to 4 additional devices with your main device at your home. For lite licenses this feature will be available as an paid addon very soon.

1 Full app license can be used on up to 4 extra devices allowing total of 5 devices at the same house to use the same portals in the app.
Only the main device (TV, smartphone, tablet) can control the portals on all other devices.
You can add to bundle any supported devices in the same house (TV’s, smartphones, tablets)
Important: you will need separate accounts on your portal(s) for all your devices .

We are also introducing Full Lifetime licenses for Chromecast devices, FireTV devices, mobile Android devices and mobile Apple devices.

And further improvements and new features to come very soon.

Now available on Devices running VIDAA OS

Smart STB app is now available for all Devices runnig VIDAA U5 OS (or higher).

Also the app is back and for some devices with VEWD OS that are part of VIDAA now.

You can now enjoy the app on your Device running VIDAA OS version U5 or newer.

Website maintenance on 30th of May 2023

Dear app users and partners,

We will be performing planned website maintenance on Tuesday, 30th of May 2023 between 09:00 and 15:00 CET time.

During that time you may not be able to buy or renew app licenses.

The app will NOT be affected by this and will keep working during that time as usual.

Unfortunately, after long consideration and planning of new features and New APP versions coming soon as of 15 of June 2023, we will no longer offer new Lite Lifetime licenses. Every Lite lifetime license purchased in the past will receive support and app updates. Full Lifetime license is not affected – we will continue offering Full Lifetime license for all devices which support the app.

Trial licenses from the app are temporary disabled.

Getting VOD or TV Series give Server Unavailable or Missing file errors?

Getting Server Unavailable or Missing file on some or all movies/series inside Videoclub and/or TV series?

Some budget and mid-range Smart TV’s made by Samsung, Philips, LG and few others recently got TV OS (Firmware) upgrade which limited video and audio codec support.

Codecs that are officially supported on all devices and all regions are H264 for video and LC-AAC for audio.

This is not caused because of an Smart STB update but because of TV OS (Firmware) update which limited video and audio codec support.
